Programs Offered
Sense of Place Concerts
Erica’s concerts offer a journey of story, song, and conversation that connects people to where they are. These curated experiences ground people in the present moment and invite them to see the familiar with new eyes.
Her work with sense of place and story helps her weave together programs that bring to life the layers of time, memory, and meaning that places hold — including each person’s own stories and connections.
These experiences help people tap into a sense of place, and belonging that is deeply needed in the world today. Drawing on decades of work in the creative arts as a touring songwriter, along with her work with conservation organizations, national parks, historic sites, and museums, Erica crafts customized concerts that enrich a personal and collective sense of well-being, place, belonging, and community.
From community events and celebrations to backyard gatherings, Erica’s songs and stories help people connect to themselves and their surroundings. Audiences leave feeling restored, inspired, and more connected to themselves, one another, and the places they care about, or those they call home.
“Her songs measure the cost of urban sprawl not in terms of species endangered, but in memories lost. Her lyrics evoke all the trails we've hiked, the streams swum, the trees climbed, and all the moments of growth enjoyed there--the silent epiphanies, the stolen kisses--without ever sounding preachy. But when she drops the truism "Your children won't know (the land) the way I did," suddenly your local zoning battle may seem a little more interesting." Yankee Magazine

"At the end of the 3-part writing prompt, I had enough material to write several powerful essays as well as a new idea for an inspirational card deck. If that wasn't enough, Erica listened to what I wrote and, as a demonstration, in less than a minute had whipped up a terrific song." — Giulietta "Julie" Nardone, DCR Workshop Series,Upton State Forest, MA
