WRITER'S DEEP DIVE Retreat

Time, Support, and Focus to Write, Revise, and Hone Your Craft

Colrain, MA | October 5–8, 2026

The Writer's Deep Dive Retreat is an intentionally small creative immersion for writers who want protected time, thoughtful guidance, meaningful feedback, and the company of others who care seriously about the work.

There's something about October in New England.

The days grow quieter. The air turns crisp. The season carries a sense of threshold, a feeling that something is ready to take shape if only we give it the time and attention it needs.

For three nights in the hills of western Massachusetts, we'll create the conditions for real writing to happen.

What to Expect

This is a focused creative retreat — structured enough to help you make progress, spacious enough to let discovery happen.

You can expect dedicated writing time, guided prompts, craft conversations, optional sharing, one-on-one support, and space to listen more closely to what the work is asking of you. You'll write, reflect, and spend time with other writers who care deeply about the work.

You can also count on time to enjoy the beauty of fall in New England: crisp days, quieter nights, walks in the woods, moments of solitude, and opportunities for meaningful conversation. And time to recharge — a dip in the hot tub, a massage, reading by the fire, or even a game of ping-pong.

This is a way not only to discover what wants to emerge, but to give it the time, structure, and flow it needs to take form.

Bring a project that keeps asking for your attention.

  • The story you've been trying to tell

  • The essays or fragments you're shaping

  • The memoir that needs structure

  • The book idea you keep circling

  • The piece you know has something in it, but hasn't fully revealed what it wants to become

You may leave with:

  • Finished sections of your work

  • New pages written and others polished

  • Greater clarity about your project

  • A stronger sense of structure and direction

  • Fresh perspective on work that has felt stuck

  • Meaningful feedback from thoughtful readers

  • Renewed creative momentum

  • Greater confidence in the path ahead

What's Included

  • Dedicated writing time

  • Guided prompts and generative exercises

  • Craft discussions

  • Optional sharing and feedback

  • One-on-one support

  • Nourishing meals

  • Three nights in a beautiful farmhouse in the hills of western Massachusetts with other writers dedicated to honing their craft

  • Time for the rest, renewal, and balance that allows good work to deepen.
