Collaborate to Innovate

The need to rethink our programs is a pressing issue for all sites today. One challenge is how to share more inclusive stories when were already struggling to share all the content we wanted to beforehand.

One approach to re-desiging or refreshing programs is to experiment with ideas and try them out in a peer setting. Without trying techniques and tools out, we won't embody them.

In this session, you will hear examples of what other sites have created during the peer collaborative segment of Erica's multi-day training. It will inspire you to think differently, try out innovative ideas, and gather with others to experiment and hone your skills.

This approach utilizes a key concept for supervisors: Using the brilliance in the room. Rather than imposing a certain technique that is the current “new” thing, this approach uses working in a collaborative team of peers to draw out of each interpreter the program content and techniques that are going to be most effective for each interpreter and each site.
