Tap Into Your Creative Flow

Tap Into Your Creative Flow

If you feel a story or project stirring inside you that you want to bring to life, three days after the Spring Equinox, we'll gather online for an at-home retreat. You'll experience a powerful writing sequence that will help you bring your work to life, and things moving. Just like the sap running through our maple trees around here, we’ll tap into the flow, collect it, boil it down and create something meaningful and sweet to share.

Brcause if you’re like me, allowing yourself time to create isn’t always easy. Even when we know how much it matters, life pulls us in a hundred directions. There’s always something urgent, something external, something that makes it feel like our creative work can wait. Without intentionally setting aside time, we end up with the gnawing feeling that something foundational is missing in our lives.

The truth is, if we don’t attend to our stories, they won’t attend to us.

Author David Abrams wrote that Cree of Manitoba say: "Every now and then, a story will leave its village and go hunting for a person to inhabit… But if that person does not create the story that has been given them, it will go off and inhabit someone else."

I don’t want that to happen—to me, or to you. I know I need to plan structured time to show up for my creative work—and I know I’m not alone. I also know having some structure and external support can really help. And taking a deeper dive like a full day? That's where the gold is.

If you feel a stirring inside, give yourself time to tap in, bring it to life, and create something will nourish you for in the days ahead.
