Work with Erica 1:1

Professional Development and Creative Momentum

Black arrow pointing downward.

I work with writers, creatives, academics, and professionals who have meaningful ideas they want to bring to life.

Some people come with writings or ideas. They might have a clear project in mind, such as an essay, memoir, academic project, collection, body of work, or professional presentation.

Others come with notes, fragments, ideas, or a sense that something is ready to emerge.

Some come with a feeling that their life isn’t aligned with what truly matters right now, and deserves more time and attention.

In our work together, we look at what you have, what it wants to become, and what support or structure will help you move it forward.

Everyone reaches the point where another’s perspective matters.

Even established writers work with editors and mentors — not only for structural feedback, but for someone who can help the heart of the work come through clearly.

That is the role I step into with you when we work together.

A Place to Bring Your Ideas to Life

Some writers come with a clear goal:
A collection to polish. A project to complete. A memoir to craft. An essay to write.

Others come because they feel something stirring —
and want thoughtful guidance as they discover what it is.

What I offer is a chance to work with someone who understands both the creative process and the discipline it takes to shape meaningful work.

This helps people to:

  • Hone their writing voice for their personal or professional voice

  • Bring long-held projects to completion

  • Develop tools for overcoming barriers and staying connected to their writing

  • Grounding and feeling more fully themselves in their writing and what productivity means for them

How Working Together Unfolds for Writers

1. We begin with an assessment conversation to see where you are now and what the road ahead can look like.

2. We look at your work in depth

You bring your drafts, fragments, essays, notes — whatever exists. You may come with a clear outcome in mind.
Or your goal may be understanding your process more deeply.

We lay everything out and then review:
What stage the work is in
What feels strong and where momentum has stalled
What themes keep returning
What larger arc may be forming beneath it all

I’ll listen for structure, coherence, and narrative integrity and help you identify the thematic arc beneath your material
to further shape your ideas.

3. We’ll look at your process
What’s working well in your habits, structure, and environment
What blocks you and gets in your way
What kind of support works well for keeping you growing and on track

From both the 1-Day Intensive and the Monthly Roadmap you’ll have a clear understanding of what to do next and support to make it happen.

Begin With a Conversation

We start with a relaxed, no-pressure call. No obligation. Just clarity on your project, your process, and your next steps.

We’ll talk about where you are with your writing, what you’re hoping for, and whether working together now — or down the road — feels right.

After you reach out, I’ll personally respond within 1–2 days to arrange a time to talk.

“Through our VIP session and the Roadmap, I have been able to take years of writing and shape it into a cohesive collection. Since starting with her, I have shared my work at literary festivals and been in several publications. Without her, I would still be circling. The clarity and momentum from our time together shifted everything.”

“Having Erica as my grad school mentor provided a welcoming and powerful space to put words to my values and vision as an artist. We defined the themes I’m exploring, integrated creative practices into daily life, and began a project rooted in that clarity. Erica listens for the spirit of a work in a way that is rare, and she brings a deep well of knowledge I soaked up like a sponge.”

“Of all the coaches, therapists, or guides I’ve worked with, no one has ever given me such a clear, practical summary of my strengths and next steps. Erica listens deeply and reflects with clarity and care. The Mini-Compass Map is unlike anything I’ve experienced. If there was one word to describe it, it would be AWESOME!”

“I am stunned at the synchronicities that have happened since receiving Erica’s support. Before our session, I had multiple directions and choices to make. The Mini-Compass helped me focus my energy where I feel most alive, identify simple steps forward, and recognize what I was ready to release. The ripple effects have been profound.” — K.L.
