A May Basket of Classes! | May 2020

Hello,

Once, on May 1st, right after moving into the little town of Shelburne Falls, MA, I heard a knock at the door. I opened it but saw no one there. Then I noticed on the door nob was a little basket full of flowers. So sweet! It was a traditional May Day basket that someone left for us. It delivered a sense of community and inclusiveness that I've always treasured.

So in the spirit of spring, creativity, and play, I'm rolling out classes online. These include many of my personal favorite ways to get creative, develop ideas and feed your soul. More about that soon, but for now: A brief wrap-up of our most recent event.

Grounded in Place: The April 2020 Sense of Place Curiosity and Connection Challenge
On Sunday we finished up an amazing week. Right from the start it was such a positive, heart-swelling thing to do. We had about 150 people sign up and the engagement on the Facebook group was incredibly uplifting. Here's a sampling of what people had to say about the experience:

“At a time of separation, I felt like I was part of something bigger. With your videos and music, worksheets and gentle reminders as a guide, and this collection of wonderful people and shared moments of our unique places and how we experience them - I felt like I always had something beautiful to return to, like a home.” Participant, Grounded in Place

“I’m going 12 to 14 hour days right now… It’s a blessing to have this distraction and, yes it has not only grounded me in place but given me snippets to bring to work to offer to my patients who are struggling, trying to save their lives from an epidemic during a pandemic. The little earth groundings offer a window to now. This moment. A flash of serenity to soften fear and generate hope. Thank you for that!” Participant, Grounded in Place

"As I experienced Step Six, I became aware that for the first time since my heart pacemaker procedure (which approximately coincided with the timing of Colorado’s COVID-19 outbreak and stay-at-home order) my heart and spirit felt calm and I was filled to the brim with a sense of profound peace and well-being." Participant, Grounded in Place

I am grateful to everyone who took this journey with me. Thank you!

Stay well!
