"Erica's music takes the audience on a trip through space and time. When she paints a landscape with song, she strikes a chord that resonates at a deep emotional level. This powerful food for the soul moves people to question the conventions we use to value property—and to value themselves as stewards." — Baltimore Woods Nature Center, NY
Creative Workshops & Retreats
Erica has facilitated workshops for wellness retreats, learning centers, and communities for decades, including Women's Wellness Retreats and programs for the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health.
She guides participants through reflection and creativity using the foundational practices that inform all of her work—from six recordings of original music to training interpreters nationwide. Her workshops connect you to who you are and where you are, both internally and externally.
Workshop experiences include:
Touchstone Story Writing Workshop – A guided sequence of writing and sensory awareness practices to uncover personal stories rooted in place and meaning
Vision Board in a Box™ – Creative reflection and vision workshop to review your life and gain clarity on where you want to go next. Includes workbook and prompts to explore your inner and outer life

Sense of Place Saunters – Curated reflective walks to experience nature and history with fresh perspective
Experience a creative journey to discover what emerges when you slow down enough to notice.
"At the end of the 3-part writing prompt, I had enough material to write several powerful essays as well as a new idea for an inspirational card deck. If that wasn't enough, Erica listened to what I wrote and, as a demonstration, in less than a minute had whipped up a terrific song." — Giulietta "Julie" Nardone, Upton State Forest, MA
Writing Classes & Retreats
Writers in Erica's programs range from first-time creatives to published professionals. These seasonally offered programs provide structure, community, and time for creative renewal—whether you're developing a consistent practice, shaping projects, or creating space to listen to what wants to emerge.
Outcomes from past classes include:
Years of scattered writing shaped into cohesive collections
Publications in literary journals and festivals
Completed manuscripts from projects once sidelined
First-time writers discovering they're natural poets
Academic writers finding their creative voice
Take a class and discover what happens when your stories find community and time to breathe.
"I have not written this much or as easily in my 30+ years in academia. The classes are supportive and keep us actively writing, but also allow us to go at our own pace." — Jeanne Stanley, Ph.D., Psychologist
