Mini-Compass Session
A focused 1:1 reset for moments of transition
Focused support for work with depth, direction, and purpose
One-on-one mentoring offers something group programs can’t: personalized support that adapts to you, careful listening for what’s present but not yet named, and a steady structure for moving forward. This kind of deep, purposeful work happens best in the focused space of working 1:1.
This work is for people who care deeply about the quality of what they create and sometimes need help sorting through complexity, overcoming blocks, or deciding what to focus on next.
If you’re navigating a transition, holding many ideas at once, or ready to bring coherence and momentum to your work—whether that’s writing, interpretation, creative development, or an evolving professional path—this is the container where that focused growth happens.
How I Work
I offer mentoring rooted in deep listening, discernment, and experience. Together, we clarify what’s essential, identify what’s in the way, and stay oriented as you move forward.
My role is to hold the structure steady while you do the work—helping you map a realistic route from where you are now to where you want to go, and offering accountability along the way.
This approach is grounded in decades of experience navigating creative work, professional development, and changing landscapes in both business and life.
Ways to Work Together
These offerings reflect different levels of depth and commitment within a clear, supportive framework.
You might
Begin with a single session to get oriented
choose an immersive deep dive to organize and reset a project, or settle into ongoing support to sustain focus and make steady progress over time.
Note: One-on-one work is currently the primary way to work with me creatively until a group class or retreat opens for enrollment.
“Having Erica as my grad school mentor provided a welcoming and powerful space to put words to my values and vision as an artist. We defined the themes I’m exploring, integrated creative practices into daily life, and began a project rooted in that clarity. Erica listens for the spirit of a work in a way that is rare, and she brings a deep well of knowledge I soaked up like a sponge.”

“Of all the coaches, therapists, or guides I’ve worked with, no one has ever given me such a clear, practical summary of my strengths and next steps. Erica listens deeply and reflects with clarity and care. The Mini-Compass Map is unlike anything I’ve experienced. If there was one word to describe it, it would be AWESOME!”
— Janice Kelly- Author, Naturalist, Interpreter
“Working one-to-one with Erica has taken my work to another level. Through her classes, I discovered myself as a writer. Through our VIP sessions, I have been able to take years of writing and shape it into a cohesive collection. Since starting with her, I have shared my work at literary festivals and been in several publications. Without her, I would still be circling. The clarity and momentum from our time together shifted everything.”
— Julia Clebsch, Retired NPS Ranger, Writer, Naturalist
“I am stunned at the synchronicities that have happened since receiving Erica’s support. Before our session, I had multiple directions and choices to make. The Mini-Compass helped me focus my energy where I feel most alive, identify simple steps forward, and recognize what I was ready to release. The ripple effects have been profound.”
