Erica Wheeler partners with libraries, cultural organizations, parks, retreat centers, land trusts, and community groups to offer concerts, workshops, and experiences that create belonging through the power of place and story.
Whether you're seeking creative programming, community engagement, or mission-centered work—these programs help people shift from being observers to belonging, finding the common ground that feels missing in our communities today.
Pricing: Travel costs are additional
Concerts and Keynotes: $1,500 (local performances for small venues) to $5,500 (national keynotes).
Sound system included for venues within 300 miles of western Massachusetts.
Workshops and Walks: $750 (small local venues) to $1,500 (larger venues/national events)
Community Engagement Events: Package pricing available for organizations. Combinations have included event keynotes, community workshops, school programs, and sense of place saunters.
1. CONCERTS & PERFORMANCES
Curated journeys through song, story, and conversation that help people slow down, connect, and feel a sense of place and belonging.

Sense of Place Concert
A curated, researched, seasonal, sense of place journey through story and song

* 60-minute performance
* Song selections that reflect local and regional nature, history, and culture
* Story and reflective audience engagement questions for conversation
Ideal for: Libraries, community centers, cultural organizations, seasonal celebrations
Custom Place-Based Concert | $2,500–$3,000
Songs and stories researched and tailored to highlight your place, organization, or event
What's included:
* 60-75 minute performance
* Custom research on local history, landscape, culture
* Songs selected to reflect your community's story
* Audience participation activities
Ideal for: Organizational anniversaries, heritage celebrations, tourism conferences, land trust events
Celebration or Milestone, Keynote Style | $3,500
A one-of-a-kind experience celebrating a person, place, or organizational journey
What's included:
* 60-75 minute performance
* Extensive interviews and research
* Optional custom song creation
* Multimedia elements (photos, stories collected from community)
* National travel
Ideal for: Retirement celebrations, organizational milestones, major anniversaries, memorial tributes
Campfire-Style Concert | $1,250–$1,750
Casual, warm gathering with storytelling, sing-alongs, and seasonal readings

* 60-minute performance
* Participatory sing-alongs
* Storytelling and humor
* Relaxed, informal atmosphere
* Local/regional travel
Ideal for: Retreat centers, outdoor programs, community gatherings, wellness events

2. CREATIVE WORKSHOPS
Hands-on experiences using writing, storytelling, and guided reflection to help people reconnect with themselves, their communities, and sense of place.
Touchstone Story Workshop | $500–$750 (90 min) | $1,000–$1,500 (half-day)
Guided writing sequence and sensory awareness practices to uncover personal stories rooted in place and belonging

* Structured writing prompts
* Sensory awareness practices
* Individual and group reflection
* Facilitated sharing (optional)
* Up to 25 participants (90 min) or 30 participants (half-day)
Ideal for: Libraries, learning centers, writer groups, retreat centers, wellness programs
Vision Board in a Box™ | $500–$750 (90 min) | $1,000–$1,500 (half-day)
A hands-on creative exploration to uncover goals and dreams by exploring where you are now and what's ready to emerge next

* All materials provided (magazines, boards, scissors, glue, markers)
* Guided reflection activities

Sense of Place Saunters | $375–$500 (90 min) | $750–$1,000 (half-day)

TRAVEL EXPENSES
Mileage: Current IRS rate ($0.67/mile as of 2024) Lodging: Actual cost if overnight stay required Meals: Per diem when traveling
Travel expenses invoiced separately based on actual costs
PAYMENT TERMS
Deposit: 50% deposit required to secure date Final payment: 50% due day of program Invoice: Provided upon booking confirmation Cancellation: 30 days notice required for deposit refund
